NY!! (USA)

WOW! NY!! You've seen it so many times in films that you recognise every corner of it! We could definitely live there for a couple of years, it has such a buzz! Believe it or not, the very first morning we were there, we got up at 6.30 am and went for a run across Central Park. Well, it wasn't completely planned like that, jetlag can do funny things to you. Initially we were supposed to stay for 5 days but we decided to prolong our stay for 3 days more. This was due to three main reasons:

- too many good friends to see (the ex-lymph dev girls (Suse, Liz and Ruth) and the ex/HSBC boys (Tom, James and Rahul) and also Susanna and Will : it was great to see some of you again and to meet some of you, thanks for taking such good care of us.

- too many cool things to do: we visited all the usual places, did a boat trip round Manhattan, overloaded on museums and went to see Avenue Q (naughty but highly recommended). Oh, and visited plenty of bars!

-HP7! It was hard for Vania to put the book down, but finally she knows how the Harry Potter adventures finish. It was the perfect book for the long flight in plus loads of mid-afternoon breaks in Central Park.

We even made it to a beautiful beach just 1h from NY called Ocean Beach! Check out the babes!!

We left NY with regret although were quite pleased to have slept through the tornado!
We are now in Belize...........

Bye for now,
Vania and Tom

Hi tom and Vania

This comes from your aged aunt (and her even more aged spouse) in Cornwall. It looks as though you are having a wonderful time - enjoy! it is cold and windy and wet here in Boscastle, we could do with some of your sunshine. Oh,your feet really are big!

Hi Guys! We're missing you already!!! Although I was keen to avoid volcanoes, we couldn't resist a trip to Ometepe and it certainly was worth it. We didn't do the crazy hike up Concepcion (although another couple went up with nothing but crackers and peanut butter and paid the guide extra to take them up to the crater - mad fools!) but we did do the almost as knackering trek up Maderas to be rewarded with the most amazing views of her sister volcano. We're now in Granada, awaiting week 4 of Spanish school. How was the Inca trail? Could you let us know Nacho's e-mail address please (or forward him ours)? Lots of love to you both, Rosanna and Andrew xxx
